Chapter 32 - THE WITNESS WHO KNEW TOO MUCH
Daniel returned to Robert's mansion and found Margaret threatening his father with a gun.
“You promised Elizabeth would disappear forever!” she screamed.
Robert begged her to lower the weapon.
Margaret struck him across the face.
“She came back because you couldn't keep your lies buried!”
Daniel rushed forward, but Margaret pointed the gun at him.
“Your mother never died the way you were told.”
She revealed that Robert had hidden Elizabeth in a private facility and intercepted every letter she sent Daniel.
Before she could explain further, a gunshot echoed through the corridor.
Margaret fled.
Daniel discovered a hidden room beneath the family chapel, filled with birth records and photographs.
One document bore Claire's signature.
It had been dated three days before her death.
Someone had forged it to make her appear involved in the conspiracy.
Then a video began playing.
Emma sat in a dark room.
A man stood behind her.
“Your daughter is safe,” he said.
Daniel recognized Adrian's voice.
But Harris soon confirmed that Adrian had disappeared from the hospital without signing out.
A second message appeared.
