Chapter 31 - THE HEIR IN THE MIRROR
Adrian invited Daniel to a private club and presented the original trust agreement.
The document confirmed that both biological sons had inheritance rights.
“You took my company,” Daniel accused.
“I reclaimed what was stolen from me,” Adrian replied.
Their argument escalated until Adrian shoved Daniel against a wall.
Daniel punched him, and the two men fought across the room, knocking over a table.
Adrian finally stepped away.
“You still think this is about money?”
He revealed that Claire had secretly investigated the hospital switch.
“She knew someone close to you was helping the killer.”
Daniel refused to believe it was Evelyn.
Then Harris called with devastating news: Evelyn's account had funded Margaret's escape.
Daniel confronted her.
She swore someone had stolen her identity, but he walked away without listening.
Minutes later, he received a photograph of Emma sitting beside a masked man.
The message read:
YOUR BROTHER KNOWS WHERE SHE IS. ASK HIM WHAT HE WANTS IN RETURN.
Daniel rushed back to the club.
Adrian was gone.
On the table lay a single bloodstained glove and a note.
