Chapter 29 - THE WOMAN WITH TWO FACES

Daniel discovered Vivian Cross in an abandoned mansion. She revealed that Elizabeth had visited Claire shortly before the murder.
Vivian handed him a photograph showing Claire entering a hospital room on the night she died.
A figure waited inside, wearing the emerald ring.
Daniel recognized the eyes.
His mother.
But Elizabeth had supposedly been dead for years.
His phone rang.
“You've been searching for the wrong death,” a woman whispered.
“Who are you?”
“Someone who knows why your mother had to disappear.”
The call ended.
Moments later, Daniel discovered a second photograph showing two newborn babies beside Vivian and Elizabeth.
One child's identity had been crossed out.
Harris traced the hospital records to Adrian Reed, a man who had recently claimed controlling shares in Northbridge.
When Daniel confronted Robert, his father finally admitted that two infants had been switched.
“I don't know which child was supposed to die,” Robert confessed.
Daniel stared at him in horror.
“You raised me without knowing who I was?”
Robert lowered his head.
Then Emma called.
“Daddy, Grandma says you stole something that belongs to her.”
A shadow appeared behind the child.
Elizabeth took the phone.

“Bring me the original trust agreement, or you'll never see Emma again.”
Was Adrian Daniel's missing brother, and why did Elizabeth need the original trust badly enough to threaten her own granddaughter?
