Chapter 12 - the purge

The next day, the Vance Corporation's glass skyscraper was engulfed in a gloomy, silent, and suffocating atmosphere. Not a single employee dared to walk heavily or speak loudly.

Harrison sat in his wheelchair at the head of the boardroom table, his authoritative and cold demeanor resembling a ruthless king. His little daughter Chloe sat obediently drawing a picture right beside him.

All the executives who had sided with Julian kept their heads down, not daring to look directly into his razor-sharp eyes. They knew that this empire had officially returned to its true master.

"You wanted to strip me of my executive power because you thought I had become a cripple," Harrison spoke, his voice low but carrying a weight that could crush anyone's will.

He slammed a thick file folder down in the middle of the table. "Here are the detailed records of all your embezzlement, financial fraud, and money laundering during Julian's era. Choose to resign and leave empty-handed, or go to prison."
