Chapter 7 - A Name Written Before His BirthNoah stared at the writing.
His full name.
In a castle that supposedly existed centuries before he was born.
Mira touched the letters.
"They were carved a long time ago."
"That's impossible," Noah whispered.
Garrick approached a stone pedestal in the center of the chamber.
Resting upon it was a leather-bound book secured by silver chains.
"The Chronicle of Unwritten Years," he said.
According to Garrick, the book recorded events that had not yet happened.
Its pages could reveal possible futures, but every answer demanded a sacrifice.
Noah opened it.
The first page contained a drawing of his grandfather's house.
The second showed Noah finding the silver coin.
The third showed him arriving in the throne room.
On the fourth was a terrible illustration.
Mira lay motionless beneath a fallen stone arch.
Noah looked at her in horror.
Then the chamber began shaking.

Dust fell from the ceiling.
And somewhere overhead, the first stone cracked.
