Chapter 6 - The Hidden StaircaseGarrick led Noah and Mira through a concealed door behind the tower fireplace.
They descended a spiral staircase older than the castle itself.
Above them, guards smashed into the empty room.
Noah could hear their footsteps through the stone.
"Why does the king want me dead?" he whispered.
"Because the throne was never his," Garrick answered.
The old knight explained that King Elian had inherited the crown as a child.
But before the coronation could be completed, the royal court was betrayed.
The rightful heir vanished.
His regent eventually declared himself king.
Noah struggled to understand.
"You're saying I'm the missing prince?"
Garrick hesitated.
"I'm saying there is a reason the portrait carries your face."
At the bottom of the staircase, a massive iron door stood beneath three ancient symbols.
Noah's coin began glowing.
The door opened without anyone touching it.
Behind it stood an empty stone chamber.
